Bay Bridge Event Poster
I was asked to do a project for Dolphin Club in San Francisco. It's an open water swimming and boating club that's been around since the 1870's and hosts a ton of open water swim events every year. They like to come up with fun posters to commemorate the swims and I was asked to make a poster for the Bay Bridge Swim, a 3 mile swim from the Bay Bridge back to Aquatic Park.
I worked on this project in a number of mediums, starting with watercolor and acryla gouache and then bringing in painted textures within the lettering which I started with pencil and paper and then worked on digitally. It was a lot of fun to make, I loved following my intuition for what the poster needed and combining different materials.
